This policy explains how LLM Context & Usage Meter (the “Extension”) handles information.

Information the Extension handles

When enabled on a supported chat page, the Extension reads visible conversation content from that page to estimate context-window usage, identify message roles, display a meter, and provide the requested “Summarize & Continue” feature. This may include user-generated prompts and assistant responses, which can contain personal or confidential information.

The Extension processes conversation text locally in the browser. It does not send raw conversation text to the publisher or store raw conversation text as history. It stores settings, model selections, consent state, context snapshots, and aggregate usage history in browser extension storage.

If you use “Summarize & Continue,” the Extension inserts a prompt into the current chat, may copy the resulting summary to the clipboard, and may insert that summary into a new chat. The selected AI provider then processes the submitted content under its own terms of service and privacy policy. The publisher has no control over, and assumes no liability for, how third-party AI providers process, retain, or train on data submitted to them.

Payments and subscription status

Pro payments and subscription status are provided by ExtensionPay and its payment-processing partners, including Stripe where applicable. The Extension sends requests to ExtensionPay to create or retrieve the ExtensionPay installation key and retrieve the ExtensionPay user’s payment status. The Extension stores the resulting Free/Pro entitlement locally. The Extension itself does not receive or store payment card numbers.

While the Extension operates locally, the publisher has access to limited purchase data (such as your email address, subscription status, order IDs, and transaction history) via the ExtensionPay and Stripe merchant dashboards. This information is used solely for account management, customer support, and accounting purposes. The publisher never has access to your full payment card number.

ExtensionPay and its payment partners handle personal, payment, billing, and account information under their own privacy policies and terms. Review their current notices before purchasing.

Sharing and disclosure

The publisher does not sell conversation content or use it for advertising. Raw conversation text is not transmitted to the publisher by the Extension. Information is shared with ExtensionPay only as needed to provide payment and subscription-status functionality. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or to protect the security and operation of the Extension.

Retention and deletion

Settings, consent, snapshots, and aggregate history remain in the browser until the user removes them, clears the Extension’s storage, uninstalls the Extension, or uses the delete-history control where available. The publisher does not maintain a server-side conversation archive.

Security

Network requests used for subscription status and payment flows use HTTPS. Local extension storage is protected by the browser’s extension storage controls. No security measure is absolute; do not use the Extension as a substitute for your provider’s privacy or security controls.

Your privacy rights (including EU/GDPR)

Under applicable privacy laws (such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation), you have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, rectify, or request deletion of your information.

Because all conversation text and extension configurations are stored locally on your device:

Children’s privacy

The Extension is not directed to children. Do not use it to process a child’s information without the permissions and safeguards required by applicable law.

Your choices and contact

You can decline local tracking when prompted, stop using the Extension, delete local history, clear the Extension’s storage, or uninstall it. For privacy questions or requests, contact valaritas.software@protonmail.com.

Changes

This policy may be updated when the Extension’s data practices or legal requirements change. The effective date above will be updated when material changes are published.
